Global Impact Week 2015

On the week of Global Impact 2015, SHL Indonesia took part in voluntary work in a school / community which has an open house education program for children in the suburb area.

We were engaging with Sanggar Anak Akar, Kampus Diakonia Modern (KDM) and Yayasan Sahabat Anak. We participated in sharing sessions, games, and also provided food for lunch.

SHL Indonesia’s team visited Sanggar Anak Akar on 11th of May 2015. We started the day with sharing session by Erna Fitrini, who is a children’s book author and also one of our associate consultant. She trained the children basic writing skills thru short story project and games.  After the session, the children from Sanggar Anak Akar presented percussion performance and allowing SHL Indonesia’s team to involve in it.

The second day, we visited KDM (Kampus Diakonia Modern) at Rawa dolar, Bekasi.  SHL Indonesia’s team participated as a story teller for children from age 7-14 years old. We created games and reading activity.  In the afternoon, the children performed Angklung and we also able played together with them.

On May 13th 2015, SHL Indonesia co-operated with Yayasan Sahabat Anak, located at Jl Tambak Manggarai.  With 12 children participating in the class, we conducted motivation session “achieving the dream” delivered by Anita Christina and Rizman Nugraha.  We also involved the children in tower building games.
